Rebels Make Trade With Everett

RED DEER, AB – Brent Sutter, General Manager/Head Coach of the Red Deer Rebels Hockey Club, announced today a trade with the Everett Silvertips. The Rebels have acquired 19-year old forward Ivan Nikolishin in exchange for the Rebels 3rd round selection in today’s Western Hockey Bantam Draft, and a conditional 4th round selection in the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft.


Nikolishin will be entering his third season in the WHL. He has played in 144 WHL regular season games, scoring 34 goals and 87 assists for 121 points. Additionally, he has played in 16 WHL playoff games, scoring 3 goals and 7 assists for 10 points.


Ivan’s father, Andrei, played 10 seasons in the National Hockey League with Hartford, Washington, Chicago, and Colorado.
